Her educational journey began in 1969 with earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish, so it’s not clear that Gail Weingast intended to have a career as a medical professional from the very beginning. She earned her Spanish degree from Jackson College at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. If she wasn’t intending to be a doctor at the very beginning, however, something changed soon after. Within a short time, she was taking classes at the Boston University School of Medicine, where she earned her medical degree and officially became Dr. Gail Weingast MD in 1976.
Following her completion of medical school, Dr. Weingast completed a pediatrics internship from 1976-1977 and she completed a two-year residency in pediatrics, followed by a residency in the field of radiology from 1980 to 1983 and a fellowship in the field of ultrasound in 1983. She completed all of those educational programs at Colorado General Hospital in Denver by 1983, but Dr. Gail Weingast completed her post-graduate studies as a radiologist in 1984 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, also in Denver.
